On Friday, November 18, 2022, Middleby partnered with Food for Friends to provide 100 Thanksgiving Blue Bag and turkeys to the families of Huff Elementary School in Elgin. This is the 4th year that Middleby has participated in the Blue Bag event and we are grateful to the Food for Friends organization for their generosity and support to help us achieve this goal every year. As in prior years, Middleby employees at our Elgin location donated time and money to purchase food items to complete a Thanksgiving meal, including corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, stuffing and cake mix, as well as a grocery gift card so that families could purchase anything else they needed. Throughout the course of the week employees dedicated time to go grocery shopping, pick up and drop off groceries where needed, pack bags and deliver completed meals to Huff.
Middleby was founded in 1888 as a manufacturer of baking ovens, and is located in Elgin, Illinois. The company has established itself over the years as a leading provider of commercial residential equipment, food processing equipment and residential kitchen equipment. Middleby is proud to work together to better our community and engages with organizations located close to our facilities that support food insecurity, education initiatives, youth programs and needs for shelter and basic living necessities. Partnering with Food for Friends accomplishes nearly all these initiatives and we are excited for many more years together!
