On Saturday, April 17, 2021, Food For Friends provided some much-needed assistance to 13 single moms from the Fellowship Housing program in Hoffman Estate, IL.
Christina Chacon and Ken Rasbid, Food For Friends board members, loaded groceries from the Life Bridge Community Church . The vehicle was packed like a sardine then drove out to the Fellowship Housing office in Hoff
man Estates for distribution.
The weather was beautiful and the groceries were set outside for curbside pickup. As the moms approached the parking lot they smiled and popped open their truck. Some moms were comfortable enough to roll down the window and say hello. Our small gift of groceries goes a long way to help them save for the future. It is obvious that we are making an impact in the lives of these moms and their children.
