Saturday, April 9, 2022 Food For Friends assembled and distributed 300 blue bags to the families and community of San Miguel School, Back of the Yards neighborhood, Fathers Who Care Ministry and Fellowship Housing Families.
This event was co-sponsored by Sesajal.
The blue bags were filled with a smoked and cured bone-in ham, canned and dry goods. Many of the San Miguel families picked up the bags in shopping carts. The bags for Fathers Who Care and Fellowship Housing were delivered to their respective locations.
Special thanks to the volunteers from the Chicago Rugby Club and girls HS team the CRC Valkeries who arrived in full force to assemble and distribute the blue bags filled with food items and a boned in ham.
