The rainy Saturday morning did not put a damper on the Annex serving event.
Food For Friends provided a meal to the men at the Ewing Annex Hotel. The Ewing Annex Hotel is the last standing single-occupancy housing for men in transition in Chicago, IL.
The men were served herbed chicken, mac n cheese, greens, sweet potatoes, corn bread and a cookie. They were very happy as they came through the line to pick up the food and were greeted by Dan V., Nick M., and Mike. One of the tenants who is a very good musician and street performer played for everyone. The men enjoyed the meal and the music, wonderful treat for all.
