On Thanksgiving Day, Nov 25, 2021, Food For Friends had another successful meal service at the Ewing Annex Hotel on Thanksgiving Day.
The Ewing Annex is a very special place and is one of the last remaining Single Room Occupancy (SRO) hotels in the city that provides temporary to long term single room housing for men. My husband John and I along with our children, Kaitlyn and Noah served alongside Eric and his wife Karla a delicious Thanksgiving meal to over 120 men.
The men enjoyed turkey with stuffing, mashed and sweet potatoes, roasted veggies, and cranberry sauce. The delicious meal was provided by FFF in partnership with Lee ‘n Eddies catering. All the volunteers were very happy to be able to serve such a wonderful meal to these men who were so very appreciative. A great time was had by all.
Looking forward to serving with FFF again in the future.
