On November 17, 2021 Food For Friends sponsored the Father Who Cares organization for their Thanksgiving Food Drive by donating 100 turkeys and Blue Bags. This event took place at the Michele Clark High School on the West Side of Chicago.
During this event we were able to pass out over 100 turkeys/hams and canned goods to those within the community. It was such a wonderful event and the Father Who Cares organization was very grateful for our support with many other vendors. We even got a visit from the mayor herself!
This continues to show the work of Food For Friends as we continue to support those who are less fortunate in the Chicagoland area. Rev Walter Amir Jones Jr. quoted,
“Words cannot express our gratitude for your on-going commitment to reducing poverty, selfishness, while working together for social change and community empowerment. It is because of individuals like yourselves that we are able to spread love and bring hope into the lives of others on the West Side of Chicago.”
Thanks again for letting me lead this event. It was challenging but everything worked out. I am looking forward to my next event Dec 18th.
