Thank you for making our 2023 Food For Friends Golf fundraiser another very successful event. Our golf committee wishes to thank all the golfers, sponsors, and smiling hard working volunteers who attended and or contributed to the event Tuesday 9-12-23. It was a beautiful day with cool early fall temperatures for perfect weather for fun with your friends for a great heartfelt cause, helping people in need.
We were blessed with over 100 men and women golfers in attendance and 8 volunteers who enjoyed a great day of fellowship in the sun. We started the day with welcoming all, and our traditional 9-11 Patriot Day Remembrance ceremony along with the Bartlett VFW post 11081, Bartlett Police Honor Guard and Fire Dept. We then sent off the golfers on their way. Later in the afternoon we returned to once again having a Banquet dinner, raffles and 3 outstanding guest speakers. The heartfelt messages given by two young ladies were the highlight of the day for many, and we also heard an inspiring story from our partner from the Ewing Annex Hotel. Also in attendance were our partner leaders from Fellowship Housing, Lee and Eddies Catering, and the HELPS Ministry.
We are so appreciative you made this effort to support our cause both in person and financially and thankful for you. Because of your generosity we are able to continue the work God has planned through FOOD FOR FRIENDS, to Connect and Give Hope to people in need.
