On Sat. August 13, 2022 Food For Friends, Hopewell Church and several other organizations partnered with Franklin Park District for a back to school event for the community.
Hopewell Church distributed 673 book bags were distributed to the kids, along with school supplies. It was well attended by the community and lots of activities for All. They had lawn activities such as connect four, hoola hoops, bouncy house, a video game trailer, dunk tank and lots of food.
Food For Friends provided hot dogs, burgers, Chips, and cookies. Other food items consist of White Castle burgers, cotton candy, grilled chicken, watermelon, and popcorn.
