4.29.23 Meadowview Senior Apartments Lunch

Thank you everyone at Food For Friends for your support. We could not have done it without you and we are always grateful. Our seniors and dependent living at Meadowview totaled 65 people including some of their children and grandchildren, siblings, and best friends.

We (Food For Friends) provided Sub sandwiches and homemade salads from a local Deli and we provided cookies and water as well. We met a good amount of new people (residents and visitors) and shared Christ with them. It saddened us to find out that two have passed on and I one had to move in with family for full time support. Overall it was an exciting time for many. We also met with a few widowed seniors who have no one else and are working at getting them connected to a local church in town.

We are also looking at trying to incorporate a bible study with seniors from our church. More to come on this.

We were able to pray with an elderly woman struggling with depression, loneliness, and isolation.

We had seven volunteers. Two of our grandchildren Bryce 9, Barrett 10 volunteered to help. All of the food was consumed! They are so thankful to Food For Friends for providing the meal.

Blessings,

Michael & Donna (Hands & Feet of Jesus).
