On Saturday, Dec 16, 2023, Food For Friends provided a Christmas meal to the residents of Meadow View Apartments. It was a most wonderful time. Â A meal was provided to 50 residents and delivered to 10 residents who were quarantined. While some were able to take a second portion for the next days meal. We were also able to give away gift cards for each resident as well as a gift. Â
The food, as always, was wonderful and nothing went to waste. Several new faces and several new connections. Donna and I sense an urgency to share the gospel and walk along side these people. I was able to reveal a bit about the true meaning of the season, Jesus's birth, life, death and resurrection and invited all to Christ's call. It was an emotional night as we remembered residents who had passed on. There was so much love and gratefulness in the room. We were there from 3 until almost 7. It was a delight.
Donna and I also announced starting January we are going to have a bible study in the common area monthly. We also plan on addional meals and even some game nights for 2024 to really encourage and hopefully bless the residents, (our adopted family). We praise Food for Friends support and look forward to our continued partnership. Without you we could not provide these wonderful meals.Â
