On December 18th, Music Box Foundation partnered with Food For Friends for their 5th Annual Christmas Dinner and Toy Giveaway. This event was made possible at their main facility in Woodlawn, Chicago. Music Box Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing music and arts in-school and afterschool programs to children in Chicago public schools.
As a part of their mission "to be a catalyst for building healthy communities," Music Box Foundation has made many efforts to ensure all citizens have an opportunity to enjoy the holiday season. With the help of volunteers, 200 home-cooked meals were served to students and their families, including other residents in the South Shore/Woodlawn community. To help give some holiday cheer, toys and gifts were donated to help give some holiday cheer.
