Christmas blessings, hope for a better tomorrow and God's everlasting love were shared by Food For Friends. This message was followed by a prayer at the Annex Hotel on Clarke Street the morning of December 17th.

The men staying at the hotel were very receptive, happy, and hungry on that cold, snowy, and windy day in Chicago. There were many familiar faces of gratitude and appreciation for the fellowship and wishes of a Merry Christmas.
We served more than 120 plates of food including fried chicken, mac & cheese, Hawaiian meatballs, collard greens, dinner rolls with butter, and cookies accompanied by water and a blessing card with a bible verse.
Finally, most everything was gone in an hour after the lines of men and a few women went down. It was a great event, a reminder of the roots of Food For Friends, and how God leads us to serve those with less and be Jesus with skin on to all people.
