On Thursday, November 19, 2022 Food For Friends provided 150 holiday blue bags to the families and community of San Miguel School, Back of the Yards neighborhood. San Miguel School is a middle school in Chicago neighborhood, Back of the Yards. San Miguel serves grades 6-8th.
School families and community members were lining up to receive a blue bag since 10am. The holiday bags were filled with a frozen turkey and other non-perishable foods. Every individual shared a thank you for the food items as they came at a perfect time to serve their families during the holidays.
A big thank you to Linda, Tina, and their crew who made this distribution possible in addition to another 350 Blue bags that served neighboring communities and schools.
