We made it to the end of the year; I hope you had a nice Christmas and want you to know I am so thankful to you for your generosity and partnership in 2022!
I have always enjoyed the old black and white movie “A Christmas Carol” from the 1843 book written by Charles Dickens where main character Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by the three ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. The major themes of A Christmas Carol are related to its genres, and they include redemption, Christmas, the importance of family, the danger of greed, and the benefit of helping others less fortunate.
Today at Food For Friends, we pause and look back at the Past, Present and Yet to Come and the progress of fulfilling our mission of providing hands on opportunities and helping people in need. We mark the Past year of 2022 serving accomplishments with over 50 events in Chicago and suburbs. We have gratitude and appreciation for the Present opportunity of monetary gifts to support our mission. And we share the excitement of serving events Yet to Come in 2023.
Our Food For Friends Board of Directors want to thank all the people who volunteered and made generous financial donations in 2022. Our volunteers and leaders continued to Connect and Giving Hope to people in need all over our city and suburbs. I believe God uses everything we do at Food For Friends to help people know His son Jesus and Give Hope. We are committed to providing hands on opportunities to reach people in need, feeding stomachs and ultimately reaching and feeding peoples souls.
